Suriya’s movie “Kanguva” is all set to release on November 14th. The prerelease event took place yesterday.
Few people know that Rajamouli and Suriya once had plans to work together, but it didn’t happen. At the “Kanguva” event, Suriya talked about this, saying he “missed the train” but is still waiting at the station, hoping to catch it someday.
Rajamouli praised Suriya, expressing great admiration and respect for him. He said Suriya’s journey in Telugu cinema could be a “case study”.
Suriya from Kanguva
Rajamouli recalled telling other Telugu filmmakers how Suriya earned the love of the Telugu audience with “Ghajini” and admitted that Suriya inspired him to make pan-India films. He shared that he was the one who missed the chance to work with Suriya, not the other way around.
“It was me who missed the opportunity. I love him so much, I love his acting and presence on screen. Suriya, I respect your choice to follow a story rather than a storyteller,” said Rajamouli.
This shows the strong bond between a great actor and a great director.
